Wikipedia, “Mirror’s Edge”
Mirror’s Edge is an upcoming first-person action-adventure video game that is being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows-based PCs. The game will be released on these platforms simultaneously in late 2008.
The game was announced by Electronic Arts on July 10, 2007 and will be powered by the Unreal Engine 3 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by DICE. The game has a realistic, brightly-coloured style and differs from other first-person perspective video games in allowing for a wider range of actions—such as sliding under barriers, tumbling, wall-running, and shimmying across ledges—and greater freedom of movement, in having no HUD, and in allowing the legs, arms, and torso of the character to be visible on-screen.
The game is set in a conformist dystopia in which communication is heavily monitored by a totalitarian regime, and so a network of runners, including the main character, Faith, are used to transmit messages while evading government surveillance.
Thanks Alex

Very interesting concept. I like the graphics from what I saw. I didn’t see any reflection in the windows though which is interesting, as you’d think you’ll be seeing a lot of them.
Games like this just need to be paired with a good storyline to make them worthwhile. I recently beat crackdown, and although it was fun, I didn’t care too much for it just because the storyline was so weak. Damn you GTA IV for giving me one of the best storylines in a game! Not much can match it.
The trailer is a really early render….so the graphics will be even better. I think the story line is pretty good, there’s more about it on Xbox.com. It’s cool because it’s not going to have a HUD and it’s instead going to rely on colors. Very cool concept.
i see reflections, just not including the character, im sure it will eventually though
That’s cool about the color thing. I noticed on the video how when she slid down the rope its glowing red
I like the fact they show the whole body of the character when you look down - no more floating heads and arms. However, most games that include the full body end up making it look pretty goofy - hopefully because this game has more attention to it, they can make it look better
